AHTUS-X is a collaborative effort between the Centre for Time Use Research at the University College London, the Maryland Population Research Center at the University of Maryland, and the Minnesota Population Center at the University of Minnesota.
The Centre for Time Use Research (CTUR) at the University College London conducts cutting edge research into the science of everyday life, from individuals daily activities to a macro understanding of social change. We develop innovative models of the balances among various sorts of work and leisure, well-being and environmental consequences of behaviours. CTUR collaborates with government and academic partners worldwide on the design, collection, harmonisation and archiving of time use surveys.
The Maryland Population Research Center (MPRC) draws together leading scholars from diverse disciplines to support, produce and promote population-related research of the highest scientific merit. It serves more than 70 population scientists across 6 different schools and colleges at the University of Maryland. The Center's research focuses on four key areas: Gender, Family, and Social Change; Health in Social Context; Social and Economic Inequality; and People and Place.
The Minnesota Population Center (MPC) is a University-wide interdisciplinary cooperative for demographic research. The MPC serves more than 80 faculty members and research scientists from eight colleges and institutes at the University of Minnesota. IPUMS, a component institute of the MPC, is a leading developer and disseminator of demographic data, serving a broader audience of some 75,000 demographic researchers worldwide. More information about the IPUMS projects hosted by MPC is available elsewhere.
